New fashionable cafes and restaurants are opening their doors and real estate prices are increasing rapidly. Due to its charming atmosphere, Žižkov also has become the bohemian part of Prague, with many artists living or performing in this district. Famous poet and novelist Jaroslav Seifert was born here and spent most of his life in Žižkov. Franz Kafka is buried here, in the Jewish cemetery.
